One simple but effective way to elevate your brand’s credibility is by using a custom email domain. But what exactly is an email domain, and why is it important to have one for your business?
In this article, you’ll learn about email domains, why you need a custom email domain, and custom email domain options to get started. We’ll also show you how to get a custom email domain and add this one to EverBee Email.
What is an Email Domain?
An email domain is the part of an email address that comes after the "@" symbol. For example, in the email address info@yourbusiness.com, "yourbusiness.com" is the email domain. Typically, free email services like Gmail and Yahoo use their own domains (E.g. gmail.com, and yahoo.com). As a business or professional, you can get a custom email domain that matches your website and represents your brand. For example, if your business name is mybeautifuldesigns.com, you can customize an email domain with those exact words. So the email address for your appraiser can look like this: support@mybeautifuldesigns.com
Why is it Important to Have Your Own Email Domain?
Brand Consistency
Using a custom email domain presents a polished and professional image to customers. Having an email domain that matches your business name enhances brand recognition and consistency across all communication channels. You can add customized email addresses to your website, social media accounts, etc. That’s an easy way to market your brand.
It enhances your credibility
Customers are more likely to trust emails from a custom domain. It reduces the likelihood of your emails being marked as spam and increases the chances of them being read.
Control and Security
With your own email domain, you have control over your email addresses, with a custom email domain you can create as many emails as you want and maintain your domain name. Also, you can access and monitor emails. For instance, if a marketing specialist leaves your business, the new employee can access necessary data. In addition, with a custom email domain, you have lower chances of data leaks or hacks, which keeps your data safe.
